Rushnell Family Services

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James Zamanis can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: danny agapas
Condolence: Jimmy was a great father and grandfather to his kids. I'm sure his children will become great parents too, as will there grandchildren. He lived a full life as manager of the Mr. Zed's arcade in downtown Belleville. And now, he's living in a home with the Lord he where the savior will be the manager of his new life with all the angels and saints forevermore.

Condolence: it is with profound sadness I hear that Jimmy has passed. I can honestly say Jimmy was a first class gentleman. Jimmy would always greet you with a smile and a jester of assistance. I remember my youth and many day after schoolplaying pool at the Uptown or Mr. Zeds. I send my thoughts and prayers to Peter, George and all of Jimmies family at this sad time. Please except my sincer condolences.

Condolence From: Jeff Gannon
Condolence: It is with great sadness that I learn of the passing of Jimmy. As a youngster, I grew up downtown and spent many, many hours at the Arcade playing video games then later migrating to play pool. Jimmy was always there to make sure us kids were safe. I have many fond memories of those years growing up there almost as my second home.
Having moved to Australia, about 14 years ago, I had lost touch with many of my old friends from Zeds. Last year I travelled back for a quick visit and I was lucky to get to see and chat with Peter, George and of course, Jimmy, even if it was briefly. It was fantastic to see them again after so many years. I had missed them almost like family. I shall truly miss Jimmy and my thoughts are with his family at this sad time. May he rest in peace.
