Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Helen Ireland can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Helen Catherine  Ireland (Armstrong)
IRELAND, Helen Catherine - Passed away peacefully after a long and wonderful life, at the age of 93, surrounded by the love of her family, on Saturday, April 18th, 2015. She was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Armstrong and the beloved wife of the late William Ireland (Ireland's Drug Store). Helen will always be remembered by her loving daughters Anne Ireland (Jim Barefoot), Mary Bunting (late Joe), Carol Ireland-Chomyn (Iehor), Nancy Stopps (Terry), and Margaret Ruckstuhl (Mark). She was a cherished grandmother to Noah, Erin, Julia, Noel, Kyle, Emily, Devon, Calla, Camille, Helen, Jessica, and Sarah and great-grandmother of Chloe, Daphne, Trent, Raya, Brock, and Taylor. She was also loved by sisters Audrey Little and Jean Carter, and by brother Bob Armstrong. She is predeceased by sister Aileen Aubrey and brothers Francis, Pat, and Hubert Armstrong. A longtime member and past president of the CWL, lifetime member of the TMH Auxiliary, and founding member and first president of the Quilters’ Guild, and a member of the Trenton Library Board. She was a remarkable woman always enthusiastic and caring. The family will receive friends at RUSHNELL FUNERAL HOME, Trenton on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A mass will be celebrated at St. Peters Church on Saturday, April 25th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with interment at St. George’s Cemetery and a reception following.
