The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Laurance Nesbitt can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Nesbitt, Laurance McPherson “Laurie” - Passed away peacefully at the Stirling Manor on Wednesday February 22nd, 2017 in his 89th year. Son of the late Jack and Laura (Shea) Nesbitt. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Joan Nesbitt (Scott). Dear father of Kim Fry (Chris), Beth Phillips (Bob) and Scott Sheppard (late Connie). Survived by his brother Dick Nesbitt (Polly) of Orillia, and by his sister-in-law Nancy Brunton (Jack) of Havelock. Predeceased by his sisters Pauline Phillips (Jack), Georgie VanVolkenberg (Earl), brothers Murray Nesbitt (Freda), Bill Nesbitt (Geneva), sister Josephine Steele, brother-in-law George Scott, and sister-in-law Lorraine Scott. Loved by his grandchildren Kathrine, Ryan, Autumn, Paula, Blair, Adam, Nicole, and by his eleven great grandchildren. Laurie served on the Campbellford Fire Department, many years as Chief. In keeping with Laurie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service and cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stirling Manor, or to the Campbellford Fire Department, would be appreciated.
