IRVINE, Shirley Louise At the Belleville General Hospital surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, March 2, 2017, age 85 years. Shirley Irvine of Brighton, daughter of the late John Thomas Petch and the late Nellie (Smart). Predeceased by husband John in 1953. In 1958 Shirley married the late Harry Irvine and they had 42 years together and leave a family who will hold them in their hearts forever. Loving mother of John Irvine and his wife Jean of Cobourg, Lori and her husband Gary Cooper of Brighton, and Linda and her husband Gerry Moore of Richmond. Predeceased by her brother Ken Petch and his wife Betty. Her zest for life, sense of humour and unconditional love were Shirley's gifts to her cherished grandchildren. Lauren Larabie (Dean), Conor Cooper, Alyssa Moore, Bryan Moore, and her great grandchildren, Marcus, Jasmine, Darrius, Peyton, and Mitchell. Predeceased by her grandson Mark Collins (Amanda). Shirley is also lovingly remembered by her step grandchildren Kevin, Nickey and Tania and their families. The family will receive friends at the Brighton Funeral Home, 130 Main Street, Brighton (613-475-2121) on Sunday, March 5 from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity St. Andrew’s United Church, Brighton, on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 1 o’clock. Cremation to follow with spring interment at Mount Hope Cemetery.
