MITCHELL, VERA ORESTA
Passed away peacefully at Westgate Lodge Long Term Care Facility, formerly of Airport Parkway Road on Wednesday, April 12th, 2017 at the age of 95. Loved daughter of the late Frank and Euretta Pound. Predeceased by her husband Manley Mitchell. Cherished mom of Carolyn Bell and predeceased by her daughter Marlene Ross and son Ronald Mitchell. Remembered always by her daughter-in-law Bonnie Mitchell and son-in-law Gary (Sandy) Ross. Loving grandmother of Ryan (Leanne) Bell, Stacy Bell, Michelle (Treffor) Davis, Cindy Darrach, Jason (Tina) Mitchell, Jared (Leslie) Mitchell and great grandmother of 14 great grandchildren. Sister to the late Marion Pound, Harold (Ruby) Pound and Stanley (Eileen Casey) Pound. Sister-in-law to Freda (Alex) Savage and the late Donald & Joyce Mitchell, Alma & Gordon Woods and Laura & Ken Bush. Mom was a long time active member of St. Mark’s United Church and loved her years as church organist.
The family will receive friends at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville, K8P 3R4 (613-968-5588) on Monday, April 17th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in St. Mark’s United Church, Cannifton on Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ryan McNally officiating. Interment Victoria Cemetery. If desired as an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the BGH Oncology Department, St. Mark’s Memorial Fund or a charity of your choice.
