Obituary for Lois Marion Wickson (Campbell)

Lois Marion Wickson (Campbell)
WICKSON, LOIS MARION
Lois Marion (Campbell) Wickson (1926-2017) joined Ron, her beloved husband of sixty-four years, in eternal rest on April 26, 2017 following courageous battles with cancer and the ravages of time. Lois enjoyed a life-long interest in reading, decorating and the art of homemaking. Lois was predeceased by her parents, Russell David Campbell and Grace Elma Carr, and her husband, William Rowan (Ron) Wickson. Lois is survived by her daughter Bonnie Lynn (Wickson) Gurney and her husband Harry of Belleville and her son Wayne Campbell Wickson and his wife Nancy, also of Belleville. Lois is also survived by her grandchildren John Lorne Wickson and his wife Rebecca of Kingston, Sarah Catherine Wickson of Belleville and Mark Thomas Wickson and his partner Brianna, both of Belleville. Lois is further survived by great grandchildren William Wickson and Eloise Wickson of Kingston. The family is deeply appreciative of the many years of medical advice provided to Lois by Dr. David Lisowski. The family would also like to sincerely thank the Access Centre, the staff of the Belmont Long Term Care Facility for their dedication to providing Lois with quality care delivered with compassion and love over the last two years of her life and to the staff of the emergency ward of Belleville General Hospital for a final heroic effort to prolong her life in the face of overwhelming odds. Following immediate cremation, Lois will be reunited with Ron in a graveside committal service for immediate family members at a later time. Lois and Ron’s final resting place will be Belleville Cemetery. Memorial donations could be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or other charity of choice. The Belleville Funeral Home & Chapel, 68 N. Front Street, Belleville K8P 3B3 (613-968-5080) has been entrusted with arrangements.
