ALTON, George Edmund, a loved area man, well known as a tractor trailer driving instructor, died on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, age 78 years. A devoted family man, he was married for 31 years to his wife Elizabeth “Vicky” Alton. He was a loving father to Angie, Mike, Glen, Erin, and Michael. He had numerous grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 117 Lisgar Street, Smithfield, on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 2 o’clock. Cremation. Many thanks for the valiant efforts put forth by the Emergency and I.C.U. staff at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg.
