It is with heavy hearts that the family of Florence Woods announce her passing on Thursday, September 14th, 2017 at the Belleville General Hospital at the age of 96. Florence was the daughter of the late George Whitman and Elizabeth (nee Millne) and wife of the late Elmer C. Woods. She was the loving mother of Carole E. Service (John) of Pickering, Bettyanne M. Lewis (Blaine) of Stirling and Marilyn C. Liscomb (Richard) of Brighton. Predeceased by her son Elmer Wayne, and her siblings Betty Asselstine, Edna MacIntosh, George Whitman and Clarence Whitman. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Brent (Erin) and their children Nathan and Rachel; Brock (Cari) and their children Shanley, Thomas and Ashlyn; Erica (Michael) and their son Jack Henry; Shawn (Amy) and their children Maverick and Calder; Erin (David) and their children Madelyn and Trystan; Courtney; Andrew (Jessica) and their children Ryder and Haliday. Always remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Woods is resting at the Belleville Funeral Home & Chapel, 68 N. Front Street, Belleville (613-968-5080) for visitation on Tuesday, September 19th from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017 at 1 p.m. with a Reception to follow the service in the funeral home. Interment in the family plot at White Lake Cemetery, Madoc. If desired, donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
