DEFOSSE, Ethel “Ferne” - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ferne at the Belleville General Hospital on Monday, October 9th, 2017 at the age of 78. Daughter of the late Clifford and Berna Squier. Beloved wife of the late Vincent Defosse. Dear mother to Cheryl Wilman (Daniel) of Carrying Place, Patti Schaller (John) of Brighton, and David Defosse of Trenton. She is pre-deceased by sister Betty Carswell, and brother Fred Squier. Survived by brother-in-law Bob Carswell of Ottawa. Sadly missed by grandchildren Michelle, Melissa, Jeffery, Kari, Jennifer, Michael, Dana, Vinnie, Tony and many great grandchildren. Ferne was a proud employee of Nestle food company for over 20 years. In keeping with Ferne's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at the 413 Wing (230 N. Murray St., Trenton) on Sunday, October 15th, 2017 from 1:00p.m – 4:00p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the Rushnell Funeral Centre, 60 Division St., Trenton (613-392-2111). If desired, donations to the Canadian Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
