Wood, Bernard Oakley – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bernard on Tuesday, October 24th, 2017, in his 97th year. Son of Wally and Evelyn Wood. Predeceased by loving partner Evangeline Wood (Beaudreau). Loving Father to David Wood. Proud grandfather to Chris (Krystin), and Jason. Great grandfather to Travis and Clair. Bernard was a proud member of Canadian Armed Forces for over 30 years. Bernard’s family would like to give a very special thank you to a dear friend Christina Marecak, for such support and for being our rock, for the past 12 years, and during this difficult time. Also, a big thanks to all the staff at Hastings Manor - Birch Villa staff for their outstanding care and support.
