The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sheila Werden can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Olla Cole

It is with a heavy heart as I write this acknowledgement of my beloved and lost sister Sheila. She was not only my sister, but my best friend and confidant. Throughout the years, we shared many laughs, tears and joys in life. She was my rock and sounding board all through my adolescence and into adulthood. Our families spent many treasured times together camping, house parties, playing cards and dinners at each other's houses, all while our kids were growing up. Sometimes our lives became busy with work, different friends and interests, but I could always depend on Sheila to lend an ear when I needed to vent, as she with me. She was the greatest babysitter , and teacher, for my kids during their early school years. I will forever be thankful for the love and care and understanding that she provided endlessly, each and every day, all while raising her own family. Never once did I worry about the welfare of my children under her care. Many other mothers, over the years, would certainly attest to this special lady and caregiver. I want to express my gratitude to her daughters Annette, Anita and Linda and their husbands Brian, Tom and Roy for their tireless commitment in making sure that Sheila could remain comfortably in her own home these past years. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. My thoughts are also with her grandchildren. I will forever miss my sister and friend, but luckily I will always have the many wonderful memories that we shared throughout our lives. Rest in peace my beloved Sister!
