Condolence From: Rhonda Houston
Condolence: As a Sales Representative (GCL) I have had the pleasure of calling on Mr. Rushnell for many years and he was always happy to meet with me and chat. Our visits would last an hour or more. The stories and memories he shared with me were wonderful. He missed the old conventions in the Grand Ballrooms along with the old trade shows. Not always a fan of the changing times he rolled up his sleeves and went with it. On several occasions he would ask me to call him Doug but I said "you have earned the title of Mr. Rushnell and that is how I will refer to you". A proper gentlemen. You will be missed Mr. Rushnell by many, but most definitely me. Rhonda Houston

Condolence From: Karen Allore
Condolence: Our family goes way back with the Rushnells. Being related through Doug's late wife Mary, we spent some time with them growing up. I always admired both Doug and Mary because they were always so kind and welcoming whenever we went to visit. When I picture both of them in my mind they are always smiling! I remember I stayed overnight once when I was small and of course with their house being over the funeral parlour I was indeed a little freaked out, to say the least! LOL I remember Darlene scaring me at one point! LOL... I will also never forget that we were there the night the Beatles did their first live appearance on the Ed Sullivan show! To this day I remember everyone sitting around in their living room and the parents - Mom, Dad, Doug and Mary commenting on their "Long Hair" LOL,,, Can't believe that was over 50yrs ago! Memories and great ones at that are how we all go on with our lives after we lose our loved ones. Paul, Craig, Sheila, Karen and Darlene my deepest condolences for you and your families. I'm sure he is very happy now though being back with Mary and I know that He and my Dad are having a good ol time catching up! Much Love and Big Hugs!
