O'GRADY, John Francis – (Former owner/ operator of Sunwind Transportation) – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John at his residence on Monday, November 13th, 2017. John O'Grady of Trenton was 83. Son of the late Thomas and Irene O'Grady. Beloved husband to Margaret O'Grady (nee Hayes). Loving father to Pat O'Grady (Tara) of Wooler, and Patrice Murant or Trenton. Survived by brother Thomas O'Grady (Betty). Pre-deceased by sister Mary Ellen Prior, and brother Joseph O'Grady. Fondly remembered by brother-in-law Frank Prior and sister-in-law Gloria O'Grady. Devoted Papa to Shelby and Morgan. Great-grandpa to Merrick Miles-Gregoire. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. John was a devoted member of Knights of Columbus. He was an avid hunter and had a love for horses. Visitation will be held at the Rushnell Funeral Centre, 60 Division St., Trenton (613-392-2111) on Thursday, November 16th from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Peter's Catholic Church, Trenton on Friday, November 17th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment and Rite of Committal will take place at St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Wooler. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Knights of Columbus Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
