TOWNS, George Raymond Lloyd at the Markham Stouffville Hospital on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, age 96 years. George Towns, formerly of Brighton, son of the late William Towns and the late Susan (Bill). Loving husband of Annette (Goertzen). Dear father of Brian Towns (Debbie) of Trail, B.C., Janet Maharaj (Neil) of Calgary, Alberta, Michael Towns (Karen) of Thunder Bay, Wendy Burkhart of Sault Ste. Marie, Donald Towns (Malinda) of Brooklin, and Lloyd Towns of Toronto. Predeceased by his son-in-law Robert Burkhart. Brother of Melba Steiman (Mac) of Victoria, B.C., William “Bill” Towns of Killarney, Manitoba, and Gloria Turner of Toronto. Predeceased by his sister Ella (Frank) Faragher. Sadly missed by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the FaithWay Baptist Church, 1964 Salem Road North, Ajax, on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 10 a.m. Service to follow in the Church at 11 o’clock. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery, Brighton, Tuesday, November 28, at 3 o’clock. As an expression of sympathy, donations to The Friends of Presqu’ile, would be appreciated by the family.
