Obituary for Arlie "Jean" Ellis (Barry)

ELLIS, Arlie Jean (nee Barry)-
It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Ellis announce her passing on December 29th, 2017 at the Belleville General Hospital, surrounded by her family in her 91st year. Daughter of the late David and Beatrice Barry. Jean is predeceased by her first husband William Rogers, and second husband Arnold Ellis. She is fondly remembered by her children; Gord Ellis (Mary), Robert Rogers (Marjorie), Donald Rogers, Marie Young (Phillip) and her step children Beth Velemiravich (Mike), Marylou Sawchuk (late Walter), Susan Parker (Steve), Darrel Ellis (Sylvia). Predeceased by her stepchildren Lauralie Ellis and Arnold Ellis, and her sister Ramona Smith (late Athol). Jean is also survived by her sister Shirley Reid (Garry) of Madoc, her brother David Barry (Belle) of North Bay, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to BELLEVILLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL LTD 68 N. Front St. Belleville (613-968-5080). If desired, donations to Diabetes Canada or Belleville General Hospital are appreciated.

A Celebration of Jean’s Life will be held at Unifor Union Hall 160 Catharine St. Belleville, ON. 1:00pm – 4:00 pm, on Sunday, January 14th, 2018
