Obituary for Opal Faye Ferguson (Cooke)

FERGUSON, Opal Faye – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Opal at the Trent Valley Lodge Nursing Home in the early hours of Sunday, January 14th, 2018. Opal Ferguson, longtime resident of Trenton was 94. Daughter of the late Darius and Eva Cooke. Beloved wife of the late George “Barney” Ferguson. Loving mother of Karen Mathias and her husband Martin of Belleville and Rob Ferguson and his wife Debra of Trenton. Opal will be ever remembered by her grandchildren Stephanie McMannis (Cade), Daniel Mathias (Ashley), Amy Gibbons, Anthony Barrett (Nadine), Steve Barrett (Shauna) and great-grandchildren Finn, Kalin, Maya, Sydney and Winsome. Greatly missed by her sister Eileen Walt of Trenton. The family will receive friends at the RUSHNELL FUNERAL CENTRE, 60 Division Street, Trenton 613-392-2111 on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, January 20th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Isaac Mundy officiating. Interment will take place in the Spring at Mount.Evergreen Cemetery. Reception to take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #110 - Trenton.
