Condolence: Dear Dawn. Brian and I were saddened by the news of Gary’s passing. I will always have many good memories of Gary as a wonderful teacher, department head and mentor. We will be away and unable to express our condolences in person but we want you to know that we are thinking of you and your family at this difficult time.

Condolence: Dawn - thank you so much for the e-mail with your sad news. Gary is finally at peace and you have been amazing accompanying him on this extremely difficult journey. I remember how welcoming you both were when Ross and I arrived at Cannifton. You both gave so much to the church - choir - church council - creating the stain glass windows at the front of the sanctuary. You honoured us by becoming both aunt and uncle and Godparents to our girls. One of my favorite Christmas tree decorations is the airplane that Gary created to remember our trip to China. Condolence: Dearest Chambers family. I am so sad to hear about Gary's passing. He was such a great inspirer of minds, and wonderful person. The Belleville area is better for him having shared his life with our community. Lots of love.

Condolence: I remember Gary from fifty years ago when I had the pleasure of being his math student for two years in a row. He was an excellent teacher who could peel away the layers of a complex problem for his students. He was demanding but fair and he could make math fun. I can't even guess at the number of students that he has guided through math but I can say that his guidance was important to me as I started out on my science career.
