Condolence: Very sad to just learn of his passing. I knew him for several years in Lahr at the radio station. Always a great guy, loved to laugh. Serious about his radio shows, I can still hear him sharing stories and jokes with all of us, including those other fans of country music, Doc McKenzie and Harry Purdy. Three of the best. I shall always remember Doug's wonderful big smile. RIP my dear friend. Perhaps also a reminder we should try harder to keep in touch with our friends regardless of distance
