Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jacob Haisma can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Jacob "Jake" Haisma

HAISMA, Jacob – entered into rest at the Belleville General Hospital with his family by his side on Monday, March 5th, 2018. Jake Haisma, of Trenton, at the age of 79 years. Son of the late Jan and Cornelia Haisma (nee Boersma). Loving husband of Carol Haisma (nee Cruickshank). Dear father of Michael Haisma (the late Lisa) of Brighton, Michelle Haisma–Benford of Trenton, and Barbara Haisma (Jason Daudlin) of Port Severn. Proud grandfather of Mackenzie (Josh), Clayton (Paige), Savannah, Sebastian, and great-grandfather of Caroleena, and Ezekiel. Brother of the late George Haisma (surviving Shirley Anne), the late Wayne Haisma, Winnie Stender (Ralph) of Trenton, Jean Wagg (Mike) of British Columbia, Pauline Haisma (Jim), Cora Haisma; both of Brighton, John Haisma (Lorie) of Brighton, and Peter Haisma (Barbara) of Frankford. Mr. Haisma's Family will be holding a Celebration of His Life at the RCAF Association – 413 Wing, 230 North Murray Street, Trenton, on Saturday, March 24th, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
