Obituary for Marlow Elizabeth Ploughman

Marlow Elizabeth Ploughman
PLOUGHMAN, MARLOW ELIZABETH -
Leaving us far too soon, in the loving embrace and arms of her parents on Friday, June 15th, 2018 at Emily's House in Toronto, Marlow Ploughman of Shannonville passed away. Marlow was 9 years old and fought cancer with immense courage and determination for 6 1/2 years. She was the cherished daughter of Tanya Boehm and Mike Ploughman and the beloved little sister of Addy (Jason). Marlow is mourned deeply by her grandparents, Helen (Oma) Boehm (late Adolf), and Mary (Gramma) Ploughman (late Douglas); her aunts Lisa Boehm, Anita Boehm (Siebe); her uncle Brad Ploughman (Holly) and by her cousins Morgan, Charlotte and Tauren. She is predeceased by her amazing great-aunt, Frances Kuhnen. Marlow will be forever respected and adored by her exceptional medical team at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto for her ability to challenge the odds and push conventional limits. She will be deeply missed by her fellow warriors met at the hospital and their families. Marlow’s life was a brief gift that included dedicating time to the organizations that supported her most and gave her journey meaning through difficult times. She is the brightest of lights and will shine for many years to come in the hearts of her St. Michael’s School family, her neighbours and even strangers that she touched. Her legacy will live on in memories of her irrepressible joy and love of art, animals, riding her ATV and sunny days at the cottage. Marlow loved her friends fiercely; time spent with them was always precious and brought her immense joy.

Marlow is resting at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588) for visitation on Monday, June 25th, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael the Archangel Church, 296 Church Street, Belleville on Tuesday, June 26th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. followed by cremation. If desired, donations in Marlow’s memory can be directed to:
