COONEY, Lynda Elizabeth – Entered into rest at the Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018. Lynda Cooney, of Stirling - Rawdon, in her 78th Year. Daughter of the late Delbert and Gladys Sine (nee Harper). Cherished wife of Marvin Cooney for Fifty Seven years. Much loved mother of Kimberly Reid (Rick), Rodney Cooney (Lisa); both of Stirling - Rawdon, and the late Carl Cooney. Nanny Cooney will be missed by her grandchildren Deanna O’Leary (Patrick), Lyle Reid (Mandy), Candice Beattie (William), Erin Jeffs (Matthew), Jeanette Vezina (Brennan), and great-grandchildren Keira O’Leary, Liam O’Leary, Sean O’Leary, Lennox Reid, Abigail Reid, Blake Beattie, Luke Beattie, and Colton Jeffs. Dear sister of Gail Carter (John) of Cobourg, and predeceased siblings Ken Sine (surviving Betty), and Patsy Trumble (late Claude). Resting at the STIRLING FUNERAL CHAPEL (613-395-2424) 87 James Street, Stirling, on Monday from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Saint Paul’s United Church, Stirling, on Wednesday, August 29th, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Reverend Bruce Fraser officiating. Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery. Lynda’s Family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Doctor Leveque and the Oncology Staff, and the Kingston General Hospital Critical Care Unit.
