The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gertrude Elizabeth 'Betty' Barr can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Betty Clost
Condolence: Betty & I worked at TMH at the same time for many years. This included the years of the staff baby boom-1984,85,86. Many of us had Betty as our OB nurse. She took wonderful care of the babies & extra-special care of the brand new parents.

Years later, when her hospital was threatened with closure, she & Gord wholeheartedly supported OurTMH as the community worked to keep precious, needed services here in Quinte West. We could count on them attending our public meetings. And if we were going in a different direction, they were good at telling us that.

Condolences to Betty's big family. Thank you for sharing her with the community.
