Obituary for Eleanor Ellen Dale (Boyer)

Eleanor Ellen Dale (Boyer)
Eleanor Dale Sadly, Eleanor Ellen Dale (Boyer) passed away peacefully on November 27, 2018 at Lakeridge Hospital Oshawa at the age of 86. Eleanor was born in Kingston Ontario to Jospeh Boyer and Jessie Boyer (Anderson).
Eleanor enjoyed (speed) reading and traveling. We loved that Eleanor was a strong opinionated woman and we all enjoyed her sense of humor and quick wit. Eleanor had a fulfilling life. Eleanor cherished her childhood in Toronto. In Toronto she met Claude Dale her loving husband of 67 years while working at the same store. In 1951, Eleanor & Claude married. After four children their love of adventure continued. They began by living in London England, traveling the world for many years, spending 10 years as Florida Snowbirds, and at a quiet home in Presqu’ile Park Brighton.
Eleanor is predeceased by her two eldest children Cynthia Annette Torrens (Dale) and Phillip George Dale.
Eleanor is survived by her husband Claude Dale, children Carl Dale, Claudette Noble (Dale) as well as 6 grandchildren and 6 (soon to be 7) great grandchildren.
We would like to thank the staff at Colonial Retirement residence in Whitby for the immeasurable care and love they gave To Eleanor. They will always be in our heart as they were in hers.
There will be a private family graveside service at Mount Hope Cemetery in Brighton Ontario at a later date.
