To: Wendy, Steve and Rob: Our condolences over the passing of your mom. I know that Margaret (my mom) and Aunt Helen were very close all their lives. I do vividly recall being in our kitchen on Putman Ave. Helen was visiting. Mom was on the other side of the kitchen with her back to me and I called her. She turned around with a big smile . It was your mom. I was flabbergasted. I remember her smile clearly. It was mom's smile. You are in our thoughts. Peggy. Lindsay and Douglas. E-mail: dougsimmons2@gmail.com

As a member of the Non Destructive Testing Branch (NDTB) at AMDU/Trenton 1977-81, I remember Helen as a nice person and very helpful to all of us. It is awesome that she lived to her 98th year; not many of us will. However, that said, regardless of the age losing a loved one is heart-wrenching regardless of the age. Please accept my sincere condolence! May Helen RIP and be in your hearts always. Al MacInnis (RCAF Retired) Tremont, NS

Dear Wendy, Steve and Rob, I was sorry to hear Aunt Helen has left us. Our families weren't able to get together often but all my memories are good ones. The first and clearest is of the ship Homeric. I think you were outward bound for Germany. Waving you all off is imprinted in my memory. Being a military wife takes strength and adaptability. I was pleased to read your Mom was able to be cared for at home until she passed. I know she will be dearly missed. Carolynn Campbell
