Jessie was strong like a hardy forest tree that we plant in her memory. May it also enjoy a long life like Jessie. She was blessed with & will be remembered by her loving family (especially her devoted daughter Susan), son-in-law David, granddaughter Victoria, and her husband Steven, and their children Brayden and Kayleigh.

Jessie was a wonderful Aunt to me & to my late brother Douglas, & I have fond memories of summer days at Skootamatta Lake, in Sarnia & at home in Belleville.

I was very sad today to learn of the passing of Jessie, we knew each other from the mid='70's when I Lawn Bowled at the Belleville Lawn Bowling Club, then the Cobourg Lawn Bowling Club and through many Christmas Cards, year after year after year including last year. After I retired in 2001 I moved to Cobourg to be closer to my family, to look after them, but continued to come back to many Ladies Lawn Bowling Tournaments and meet Jessie on the green. She was a very kind, upstanding Lady who it was my pleasure to call her my 'friend'. Rest in Peace Jessie. with Sympathy to the Hunter Family ... Sharyl Ann Milligan, Cobourg

To the family: We the neighbours of Palmer Road in Belleville, extend our most sincere condolences on the passing of Mrs Hunter. She was a highly-respected member of our neighbourhood and in the community at large. It was interesting to note that she was also a life member of St. Matthew's Church here in Belleville, the former Holloway Street United Church. A donation has been made to the church in her honour and memory. May we all live to follow in her footsteps, and lead a life of caring and compassion in Christian fellowship and service to our fellow human beings. Sincerely, Mr and Mrs Fort, 77 Palmer Road, Belleville
