Peggy, i don't know how to approach this. You were the best teacher I've ever had, you taught me more than anybody ever has in my entire life. I can confidently say that i am a much more knowledgeable person now, all thanks to you.You did the unimaginable, when i met you i was the meaning of hood rat. You changed me for the better and i could never thank you more. You were more than just a teacher to me though. You were a friend, a mentor, a role model, the list go's on. Most importantly though, you were someone that cared about me and showed me someone cared when i needed it most. I never would have been the man or father i am now if it wasn't for you! I could keep going on but i'm pouring tears right now struggling to write this, i wish you could know how much i loved you! I'll never forget all your crazy life storys! I cant wait to play another game of ball with you! Forever loved and never forgotten, rest easy pegasus 💜

One of the joys of life is meeting great people - Peggy was one of those great people who entered my life. I met her during my year in Korea - she was a born educator and teacher with a passion for fairness and what was right. We spent many nights debating the great questions of our times over beer and soju (usually followed by singing rooms!). I'll always remember her sense of fun and her kindness to all around her. Love Fergal

Peggy was a former colleague and friend when we both taught at RkPS. When she left, I missed her kindness, generosity and free spirit but I knew that she would touch many people wherever she would go. May Peggy'spirit keep on living in all of us that have been touched by her.

My condolences to the Sykes family. Ms Sykes taught my son in High School and was a teacher that challenged him intellectually. She enjoyed his willingness to express opinion and open up in debate. I was happy that a teacher could bring that out in Nate. May she rest in peace and may all your memories sustain you in the darkest of days. Neva Moelker
