Obituary for Carmel Madeline Elliott (Coulter)

ELLIOTT, Carmel Madeline – Of the Richmond Retirement Residence, passed away at the Belleville General Hospital on Wednesday, March 24th, 2021 at the age of 94. Daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Coulter. Beloved wife of the late Harold S. Elliott (1993). Dear mother of Carol Muir (David) of Stirling. Survived by her twin sister Lois Morgan (late Harry). Loving grandmother to Jodi Lascar (Jeremy), Jana Muir and great-grandmother to Bronwyn, Sadie, Claire, Lucy and Tova. Dear aunt to Darlene Anderson (Brian), great aunt to Christine (Jeff) Franssen, April (Derek) Faux. Great-great Aunt to Maiya, Elise & Silas. Carmel has been an active member of the St. John’s Anglican Church in Moneymore, Foxboro Emmanuel United Church, Carmel United Church and St. Mark’s United Church in Cannifton. She was a long standing member of the Foxboro UCW. She also assisted her husband in the Foxboro Cheese Factory. We would like to thank all the caring staff at the Richmond Retirement Centre. It was her home away from home. Our utmost gratitude goes to the Dr’s and nurses in the ER at the Belleville General Hospital. They treated mom with incredible compassion and dignity. Funeral Service will be held at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) on Monday, March 29th, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. (visitation one hour prior to the service). Interment at Thomasburg Cemetery, and a celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
