STRAHAN, Isabelle Marie -
Member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church
Bay of Quinte Golf Club

Peacefully entered into rest on Thursday, February 27th, 2020 at the Belleville General Hospital. Isabelle Strahan (nee Shortt) died at the age of 91. She was the daughter of the late Edward & Elizabeth Shortt (nee MacLaren) and the wife of the late Robert Strahan. Isabelle was the loving mother of Robin Pearson (Lyle) of Waterloo, Julie Sullivan of Belleville and Rob (Wendy) of Waterloo. She was the cherished grandmother of Erin (Kevin), Cara (Joe), Holly, Kim, Teri (Chris), Jodie (Eric) and Lexie and to her 8 great-grandchildren. Isabelle is survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy Shortt and her brother-in-law William Strahan, both of Belleville. She was predeceased by her sister Anita Flindall and her brothers Jim Shortt and Ron Shortt. Isabelle will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

Isabelle's family would like to thank Dr. Hamilton and the staff of the Belmont Long Term Care Facility for their loving care of Isabelle in her final few years, and also Dr. Azizy at BGH for her caring and compassion during our mother's recent illness.

In keeping with Isabelle's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Reception will be held at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588) on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 p.m., where Isabelle's family and friends will gather to honour her memory. A Private Family Graveside Inurnment Service will take place at the Belleville Cemetery Niche Wall. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Belleville General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
