Rest in peace, Melody. You were a good, kind person and you will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know you. Here you are with Gabby when she was just a kitten. My sincere condolences to all Melody's family and friends.

To Scott and family,
No words can really express how we all feel about the loss of our dear friend, Melody. She was a delight to spend time with and we always had fun together. Melody had a great sense of humor, was extremely generous and had the desire to really enjoy her time in retirement. I will miss our outings together and our extensive phone conversations. She so appreciated the time and freedom she had after she retired and absolutely delighted in the small things that we all take for granted...drinking her whole coffee in the morning instead of it cooling off while at work, spending alot more time with her kitties every day, babying her interest in plants and orchids, having the time to try out new recipes, enjoying a glass (or two...lol) of white wine with a friend(s) and experimenting with new wines found in the county, loving the opportunity to take short excursions to the county, Niagara, etc for a couple of nights...she was always up for anything...just give her half an hour notice and she was ready to go. And there were so many things she had planned for retirement that sadly never got fulfilled. She spoke often of her love for her family and how she missed her parents...and how incredibly proud she was of her family. She will definitely be missed. Keep all your wonderful memories and moments together close to your heart as you struggle with the loss of Melody in the days and weeks to come. She would want you to carry on and enjoy life to the fullest and love each other and life like today is your last day on earth. Our most sincere condolences to all the family. Rest peacefully now dear friend.
Sincerely, Carl & Jean Bowen

Dearest Scott and Family,
Please accept my most heart felt condolences during this sad and most difficult time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. In the coming days, weeks and months allow your beautiful memories to help you mourn the loss of your beloved Sister and Aunt. I have learned that the hardest part of losing someone isn't having to say goodbye; it is having to learn to live without them. Always trying to fill the void. Take care of yourselves.

Love and hugs from your friend, Amy Downer.

Well Mel - it is hard to believe that a year ago we were sitting at your table celebrating your decision to retire and start living the "good life" and now you are no longer with us. You will never really know how much you were loved by your family and friends and how much they cared for you and will never stop thinking about.
You had a kind heart and an infectious laugh and I know you and my hubby shared a few giggles as well - he misses you terribly and we are heart broken that we won't be seeing you in person but your memories will always stay with us.
I'm so glad your mom (Ruth) introduced us so I could make a new friend and share in one of your biggest life decisions. You are leaving a legacy for your family and now it is time for you to rest with no more pain and spend time with mom and dad (Don) who I know you missed terribly. So glad to have known you. Our deepest love and condolences to the family - Kim and Peter Krahl
