Obituary

SNIDER, Paul Conrad –
February 19th, 1933 – May 7th, 2020

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Paul Snider, of Plainfield at the Hastings Manor LTC Facility after a lengthy illness with dementia. Paul was a truck driver for Cooney Group until August 1996 when he retired.

Son of the late Curtis and Mary Selman, Paul was also adopted by the late Earl and Beatrice Snider. He is also predeceased by wives Vona Demille and Doreen Hughes. He leaves behind to mourn his partner of 23 years Jane Travis. Much loved dad of Harold Snider and Pam Travis (Terry). Loved step-dad to Harold Peacock (Cindy) of Nova Scotia, April Keys of Chatham and Judy Laird (Jim) of Oshawa. Proud grandfather to 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren. Paul was the stepbrother of the late Alma Farland, and survived by stepsister Ada Reynolds of Trenton. He is also survived by his sisters Jean, Celia and Cora. Predeceased by his brothers Norman, George, Earl, Silus and sisters Rosie and Mary.

Paul will also be fondly remembered by Lori Blair of Hamilton, Sarel Larabee of Belleville and Jeannette Briggs of Belleville, as well many friends and extended family members.

In keeping with Pauls’ wishes, cremation arrangements have been made with the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Ave. Belleville (613-968-5588). There will be no services at this time. If desired, donations to the charity of your choice are appreciated in his memory. The family would like to extend their thanks to BGH 4th Floor and the staff at Hastings Manor 3rd Floor – Elm Villa for all his care during the last years of his life battling dementia.
