I first met Peter in 1991 as he was one of my Professors at Loyalist College. I counted him among my favorite teachers; he was so bright and curious and genuinely excited about education. Peter became a friend over the years, as well as a teaching colleague. I was always impressed with his morality and his faith in humanity. Mostly though, I was moved by his dedication to his family. Peter spoke of his family often and was incredibly proud of his wife and his boys. He will be missed by all, may God hold him in his gentle embrace.

Carol and I are saddened to hear of Peter's passing. We got to know Peter and Henrietta during our time St. Columba. They were always very kind and caring, ever willing to share their joys, and their struggles with us.
We will miss Peter's gentle wisdom, as we have missed Henrietta's.
The world has lost a compassionate man, and our church a person of faith.
Our prayers and thoughts are with Kendal and Daniel at this time .

When preparing for the Nursing course at Loyalist College and also during the courses, I met Peter Beattie as he taught some courses at the College. I also got reacquainted with him when I later taught courses at the college and also when I Coordinated the Health Sciences in the Continuing Education Department. I always found him to be a kind and polite gentleman, who gave his very best to help students in academic achievement. I am sorry to hear of his passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences in your loss. You are in my prayers as you go through this sad time.
Sincerely, Judy Crowe
