EMERSON, Raymond Herbert “Ray” – Of Halloway Heights, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 16th, 2020. Son of the late Edward and Marie Emerson (nee Townsend). Beloved husband to Edna Emerson (nee Whyte). Loving father of Leslie Lightfoot (Shaune) of Halloway Heights, and Cory Emerson of Belleville. Ray is survived by his brothers John Emerson (late Carolyn), Paul Emerson (Barbara), and sister Ann Casselman (Terry). He is pre-deceased by brother Eric Emerson (survived by Connie) and also pre-deceased by sister-in-law Sharon Emerson. He will be missed by his grandchildren Keaton, Chloe, and Meg Lightfoot. Dearly loved by the Whyte family. Ray was a devoted member of the Masonic Lodge and Foxboro Emmanuel United Church. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to restrictions put in place regarding COVID-19, the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588). If desired, donations to the Foxboro Emmanuel United Church would be appreciated by the family. For online condolences, please visit

I remember you and your buddy Don Hendricks on Ernie Wilkinson's school bus going to High School. Those were the "Good Old Days".
My husband and I have returned to the Belleville area 4 yr. ago. May you Rest in Peace!
