Obituary

McKAY, Robert Thomas "Bob" -

Entered into rest on Friday, October 30th, 2020 at his home with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob McKay of Belleville died at the age of 64. He was born on September 23rd, 1956 to the late Ross & Gertrude McKay (nee Morgan). Bob was the loving husband for 44 years to Cora (nee Hinze). He was the dearest father to his sons Shawn, and Ryan (Renee) and he will be ever remembered by his beautiful grandsons Jackson and Parker. Bob was a loving friend and brother to Doug (Elaine), Steve, and Debi Nelson. He was predeceased by his sisters Cheryl Pope and Cathy McKay. Bob will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Bob' wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588). It is with a heavy heart that I send my condolences to Cora Sean Ryan Doug Debi and Steve and families I cherish many fond memories with Bob dating back to my early teenage days when most people didn't think it was cool to have a kid 5 years younger hanging out with them , but Bob was cool with it and treated me just like one of the guys In my view Bob fought a courageous battle but did not lose the battle He won the right to be rid of the pain and now rest easy RIP my friend Tim Soule
