Memories

Dear Loretta & family:

We were so sorry to read about Stan's passing. We had heard that you had spent some time in NL & were not surprised to know that Stan loved the outdoor life there with lots of hunting & fishing.

Ken has many fond memories of Stan during their time together at DuPont & when they would enjoy the outdoors together. I, maybe not so fondly, remember a fishing trip to Coe Hill where we all camped. We were in a tent on the ground & thankfully your family had a camper trailer as my memory is that it rained ALL wkend!! Loretta, you & I kept the kids entertained while the crazy guys continued to fish.

I remember being at your place for meals & having for the first time, fresh fish served with scalloped potatoes; it was a tasty combo & I still often serve the two together. You also had birds, as I recall, though having watched Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds' as a young child, I had a slight fear of birds flying around the house.

I trust that over the past days & in days to come, there will be lots of 'Stan' stories to share & that there will some comfort for you all, knowing that others found him a friend, co-worker etc.

I am sure that both you & Stan enjoyed the grandkids. I read that your children & families are geographically quite close, so trust they will be available to support you & each other in the coming difficult days.

Take care & please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss. Ken & Sally Rhyndress Napanee On.
