Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Orma Slack can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Orma Mae Slack (Snider)

SLACK, Orma Mae “First Female Principal In Belleville”– Passed away peacefully at the Westgate Lodge Nursing Home on Monday, April 13th, 2015, in her 113th year. Orma is predeceased by her loving husband William Slack (1988). Orma is survived by her devoted children Edward Slack and his wife Nicky, and Rosemary Simpson (deceased). Orma will be sadly missed by her five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her three sisters and two brothers. A special thanks goes out to Marion MacRury “Her Guardian Angel”, and the caring staff and nurses at Westgate Lodge Nursing Home. The family will receive friends at the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) on Thursday April 23rd, 2015 for a memorial visitation from 1:00 – 2:00p.m. A celebration of Orma’s life will follow at 2:00p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Bible Society would be appreciated.
