Obituary for Norman Hollies Stouffer

STOUFFER, Norman Hollies, Chief Warrant Officer (Retired), RCAF/CAF - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Norman on August 22, 2015 in his 81st year.  Dearest husband of Gertrud (nee Schneider), loving father of Raymond and his wife Martha of Orleans, Ontario, and doting “Opa” to Kimberley of Toronto, and Alexander of Orleans.  Predeceased by his brother Ralph, and survived by his sisters Delma and Ellen of Oyen, Alberta, and Vivian of Edmonton, Alberta.  Norman had an accomplished and memorable career of 38 years in the RCAF/CAF, with tours in Baden-Soellingen (where he met and married Gertrud) and Lahr, Germany; Sea Island, British Columbia; Namao, Alberta; Trenton, Ontario; and Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Norman also had several UN tours, including Ismailia, Egypt, and Rhodesia. Norman devoted his life to his wife and family, and will also be remembered as a passionate golfer and fisherman.  Norman had a wonderful wit and respect for all. We will hold him in our hearts forever. A Memorial Service will be held at RUSHNELL FUNERAL HOME, 60 Division Street, Trenton on Wednesday, August 26th, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to Service.  Reverend Brian Carswell officiating.
