Break-a-Leg

Most, if not all who have had the great fortune of becoming friends with Bruce and Karen and know their character will appreciate this little story I would like to share.  After being apart in different postings for a while, Caron and I were delighted to hook up with Bruce and Karen again for a few years at Kingston.  Bruce had finally become eligible to play "OLDTIMER" hockey.  The tourney was in Trenton and Bruce was anxious to get on the road and introduce me to his family and the area.  Unfortunately, with all our gear,  an upset Karen couldn't  come with us and as we pulled out the driveway on our merry way, Bruce yelled out the window "Bye dear, wish me luck" to which she angrily replied  "YEP, SURE THING BRUCE - BREAK A LEG.  To this day, I believe Karen has these special powers, because 2 minutes into Bruce's very first Oldtimer's match, he broke his leg.  and the bugger made me call Karen at home to come get him.    Love you guys.  Ron and Caron.
