Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gwendolyn Bellis can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Gwendolyn Phyllis Bellis

BELLIS, Gwendolyn “Gwen” Phyllis – (Retired, Canada Post, member of the Christ Church A.C.W.) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gwen at her residence on Sunday, November 15th 2015 at the age of 86. Daughter of the late Harry and Nora Dewey. Beloved wife of the late Fred Bellis. Loving mother to Rick Bellis. Pre-deceased by daughter Sherry-Lynn, sisters June and Margaret, and by brothers Donald, Conrad, and Sonny Dewey. Gwen will be missed by her grandchildren, Shilo, Shane, Teegan, Logan, Brean and six great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her nephew Douglas Dewey and his wife Shirley. In keeping with Gwen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to visit at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) on Thursday, November 19th from 6:00-9:00p.m. Memorial service will take place at Christ Church Anglican, 39 Everett St., Belleville on Friday, November 20th, 2015 at 11:00a.m. Interment will take place in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the C.N.I.B. or Christ Church Anglican would be appreciated by the family.
