Obituary for Carol Anne Mowers (Sager)

MOWERS, Carol Anne (nee Sager) – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Carol at the Belleville General Hospital on Sunday, April 17th, 2016 in her 73rd year. Daughter of the late Roscoe and Leona Sager. Beloved wife of Lyle Mowers. Loving mother to Jim (Lori) of Plainfield, John (Carolyn) of Belleville, and Al also of Belleville. She is survived by sisters Cathy Davis (late Wayne), Jeanne Valen (Hans), Marilee Mitts (Grant) and by brother John Sager (Iris). Carol is pre-deceased by brother Allan Sager (surviving S-I-L Donella). Devoted grandmother to Cory, Shauna, Ryan, Krysta, Collin, Jesse and Mitchell. Carol worked for many years as a hairstylist, a career that she truly loved. Her passions in life were gardening, canning preserves, and taking her boys fishing. She will be fondly remembered by her infectious laugh and love for life. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends are invited to call at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) on Wednesday, April 20th from 6-9p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, April 21st, 2016 at 11:00a.m. Fr. Paul Vellarackal officiating. Interment to follow at St. James Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Quinte Access Transportation Inc. (In appreciation for the services that made a lot of things possible for Carol) or a charity of your choice in Carol’s memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
