Obituary for Irma Jane Stapley

STAPLEY, Irma Jane – Of Picton, formerly of Stirling went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the age of 90. Daughter of the late Herman and Esther Vardy. Beloved wife of the late Samuel G. Stapley. Loving mother to Carol (Bruce) Hancock of Stirling, and Linda (Victor) Gibson of B.C. Pre -deceased by infant daughter Susan. Irma is pre-deceased by her siblings, Edna Rutledge (late Manley), Donald (Violet), Albert (late Hilda), Lorne (late Helen), Elwood (late Doris) and is survived by sister-in-law Janice. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Andrew Gibson (Pam) and Ashley Biffis (Wesley) and step-grandchildren Stephanie Hancock and April (Mike) Read. Survived by four great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. In keeping with Irma’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Irma’s life will be held at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) on Tuesday, July 5th, 2016 at 11:00a.m. Interment at Eggleton-Clarke Cemetery, beside her husband Samuel will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Gideon Bible Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
