Obituary for Uwe "Jim" Tischbein

TISCHBEIN, UWE (JIM) - Passed away at Belleville General Hospital on Tuesday, October 10th, 2017. Uwe Tischbein, born in Delmenhorst, Germany in 1936. Son of the the late Heinz & Gertrud (Preuss) and step-son of the late Ilse. Survived by his wife and best friend for 54 years, Gayla (Henderson), his sons Kirk, and Kris(Tammy), his much loved grandchildren Tori, Tyler and Tianna. Brother of Axel of Surrey, BC. Step-brother of Rolf Bruhn (Grace) of Dartmouth, NS. Predeceased by his sister Heide Gotzy. Loved by his many nieces and nephews. Uwe was a well known painter and decorator for 62 years. He enjoyed photography, stamp collecting, gardening and camping. The family would like to thank Dr. Levesque and his caring staff for taking such good care of Uwe.
Cremation arrangements in care of the Belleville Funeral Home & Chapel, 68 North Front Street, Belleville (613-968-5080). Funeral Service will be held at the College Hill United Church, North Park Street, Belleville on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at 1 p.m. with visitation for 1 hour prior to the service. Rev. Brenda Timpson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oncology Clinic at Belleville General Hospital or College Hill United Church.
