Obituary for Peter Christos Nicholas

NICHOLAS, Peter Christos – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Peter Nicholas at the Hastings Manor Long Term Care Facility surrounded by the comfort of family on Sunday, March 11th, 2018, in his 89th year. Predeceased by parents Christos and Christina Nicholas. Predeceased by loving wife Bertha “Dot” Nicholas. Loving father to Chris Nicholas (Lisa) and John Nicholas (Kristel). Predeceased by sisters Sarah, Helen, and Athena. Grandfather to Stefanie, Kate, Annie, Jazlin, and Theo. Great grandfather to Dawson. Peter obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton and his MSW from Louisiana State University. Peter was director of Protection Services, Children’s Aid Society in Belleville, he was also a Social Work Supervisor at Brookside Youth Centre in Cobourg. Friends may call at the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Funeral services will take place at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday, March 15th, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Belleville Cemetery. Father Anatoliy Bandura officiating. If desired, donations to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
