POWELL, DOROTHY MARGARET – Peacefully entered into rest on Thursday, May 17th, 2018 at Hastings Manor Long Term Care at the age of 94. Dorothy Powell, a long time resident of Greenlawn Avenue in Belleville, was the daughter of the late Sidney Constable and Annie (nee Moore). Dorothy was an active member of many craft guilds and local bridge clubs. She also enjoyed gardening, her pets and attending family gatherings. Beloved wife for 40 years to the late Roy “Mac” Powell. Loving mother of David (Brenda Leigh) of Montreal and Mark of Belleville and grandmother of Brian, Daniel and Andrew. Dearest sister of Annie Erath of Oregon and predeceased by all her other brothers and sisters. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. The family wish to extend their deepest gratitude to all of Dorothy’s caregivers at the Bridge Street Retirement Residence and at Hastings Manor for their wonderful and compassionate care of their mother.
Mrs. Powell is resting at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588) for visitation on Friday, June 1st, 2018 from 11 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. with Rev. Donald E. Hodgins officiating. Reception following. Interment in the family plot at Belleville Cemetery following the reception.
