Condolence From: Ben Parkinson
Condolence: I just learned of Doug's passing and wanted to pass on my condolences to you Julie. I left Bellville a long time ago(1990) but dealt with Doug while he was account manager in Lindsay and I was credit manager in Peterborough and Bellville. While my association was brief I enjoyed our Bank relationship. I remember you both and wanted to pass on my regrets at his passing Julie.

PS I am not sure you will receive this note but I did want to pass on my condolences to you.

Condolence: Dear Julie,

On behalf of your BPB team and my family, I can tell you we were so saddened to hear about Doug's recent passing. I never had the opportunity to work with Doug, but I am personally so grateful that you gave me the opportunity to meet Doug, several times, just a couple of years ago. Through these conversations, there was no doubt, Doug was a very intelligent, courageous, strong and most importantly, a very caring & loving family individual. Just several of the amazing things that make up his legacy that will live & carry on forever. Our sincerest condolensces to you and your entire family.

Condolence From: Cal & Judy Prang
Condolence: Dear Julie and Family,

Cal and I were so shocked and sad to hear of Doug’s passing. We sat for a while and reminisced about times in Belleville and Kingston and I told Cal about a staff Christmas Party at Kingston Main when a few of us decided to put on a little skit - really it was just a joke acted out. Doug was the new Manager and the staff was just getting to know him. Still he agreed to be in the skit. Well, he had an important role as a stuffy Brit in a bowler hat who encounters a couple of drunks in a bar. He was happy to be the brunt of the joke and the whole gang roared with laughter when the punch line hit him. It made me laugh and cry remembering that day. I know you will have many tears to shed now and in the future. Maybe sometimes picture your guy in his banker’s suit wearing that silly bowler hat and remember all the fun and laughs from this and all the stories you created as a couple and a family.

We are thinking of you with much fondness,

Cal & Judy Prang

Condolence: I'm not surprised to read the other condolences referencing Doug's sense of humour. I too remember that as well as his big smile and laugh. May your family take comfort and pride on the many people Doug impacted over the years at BMO. It truly was a pleasure to know him.
