Condolence From: Cindy (Rowe) Carey
Condolence: Bill was one of the first Deaf people I ever met when I started learning sign language in Kingston, Ontario in the late 1970's. Although we didn't run into each other very often, he always had a big smile and remembered me. I am thinking of his friends Larry Opperman, Ken Roberts, and Jim McDermott who introduced me to Bill. They will be missing their dear friend and I am thinking about them at this sad time also.
I don't know the family but please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of such a great man.

Sincerely,
Cindy Carey

Condolence: Bill played football for me at Gallaudet in 1970-71. He helped me transition into life at Gallaudet. He was like a big brother to Chris when she was in grad school at Gallaudet.
He became a good friend as we grew older. We would text each other during hockey games when his Maple Leafs and my Penguins would play each other. I will miss those exchanges.
Please accept our condolences. He was the best. We

Condolence: No words can address the pain that we are carrying in our hearts for enduring such a loss as our beloved Bill. His sudden passing has filled our hearts with a deep sadness.
His was a loving heart and a gentle soul. He was a man of tender humility and garnered great respect from all who knew him. He loved his family deeply and unconditionally. He took great joy in the young children around him.
The journey through life was not without difficult choices for him, but he faced these challenges and that of his more recent medical illness with courage, conviction and dignity.
He leaves a legacy as one of the great examples of humaness of our time. Rest in peace Bill.

Condolence: So sorry for Bill Gregory's sudden loss, our sincere condolences and thoughts with his family, relatives and his close friends. Bill was truly a Deaf Canadian patriot and a role model as a classy civic responsible Deaf Canadian citizen who cared lots about Deaf community and Deaf children's well being. On Oct 2, he and I met for a wonderful discussion about Hamilton Ti-Cats and many things he shared with me that really inspired me. Bill was best described as "best all around sports player" and wonderful storyteller about Deaf sports at Schools for the Deaf and Gallaudet College as he was superb quarterback wearing #10 as his favourite player-Bernie Faloney, Ti-Cats Quarterback, superb baseball hitter as described by Gallaudet College students as "Deaf Babe Ruth", great defensive hockey player at Gallaudet Canadian Club, and the greatest of the great physical education teacher of Deaf at Albert School for the Deaf and SJW School for the Deaf. His last words with me was that we must do something about physical education, and health education in Deaf community to take care of their health, eating healthy food and health exercises daily. We celebrate of the life of Bill Gregory's huge contribution to countless hundreds of Deaf students he taught and we salute his legacy of "Deaf Babe Ruth" and World Class sportsmanship and humble citizen who cared lots about well being of Deaf students and Deaf community.

Condolence: Bill Gregory was one of the sweetest men I have ever known. He was a true gentleman always showing respect and patience with everyone he met.He quickly studied up on early childhood development when he found himself a Phys.Ed. teacher for my preschool/kindergarten kids. He truly met them where they were and aided their physical and moral development.I really appreciated how Bill interacted with my kids. They were lucky to have had him for their teacher. You will be missed Bill. Darlene MacDonald - Fellow Teacher

Condolence: Like so many in the Deaf community, I was saddened to hear of Bill's sudden passing. One of the last things he said to me, at a Belleville Association of the Deaf meeting, was "It's important to have an association". May we honour Bill with a strong B.A.D. in the years ahead. He was a fine man.
