Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Douglas Whitney can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Douglas Glen "Smoke" Whitney

WHITNEY, Douglas Glen 'Smoke' - suddenly at Trenton Memorial Hospital on Tuesday May 26th, 2015. Doug Whitney of Trenton in his 64th year; well known City Councillor. Beloved son of the late Glen 'Dick'' and Ruth (Mitchell) Whitney. Loved brother of Brenda Whitney and her partner Rick Karnik and Jim Whitney and his wife Karen; all of Trenton. Uncle Doug to Julie and Jeff. Ever remembered by several aunts and cousins and a large circle of close friends and extended family. Founding Member of The Sports Wall of Fame and proud supporter of The Trenton Minor Hockey Association and The Trenton Jr. 'A' Golden Hawks. Family will receive friends at the Trenton Community Gardens on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held in the Gardens on Monday, June 1st, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Brian Carswell officiating. Interment White's Cemetery.
