Never realized how much fun we had in those days and Doug was such a huge part of that. So many good guys are leaving way too early. I hope he gets together with Bake and the Keech brothers to organize a tourney or two wherever they are.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Doug's passing. He was one of the greatest men I have ever met. He had such a great heart and was always willing to help others. I was fortunate to spend four terms on Quinte West Council with him. He was a team player, always working hard with the best interest of the City in mind. His quiet, gentle way will be missed around the Council Table and throughout the whole City. We had great respect for the way he dealt with all his health problems, and how he remained so cheery and upbeat through it all.
