The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Marilyn Gibson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Moms story

For 77 years you wondered why me. Why was I not loved? Well your story was never completed as you were mislead by the church into believing your mothers name was Dolly Neill. Thru your years of research, you were never able to find the answers you hopelessly sought as you were not given enough info to complete your journey. 3months after your passing thru the help of ancestry I found your mother Catherine Agnus Neill. Her story was harsh mom, maybe not as yours harsh none the less. You see her mother Catherine Anne Neill nee Finner passed away while as it was time for her to find work to support herself. She worked for a family that did not support her when she became pregnant with you. Sad times would follow as she was sent to a Salvation Army hospital to give birth. She was further traumatized when she was forced to stay six months at your side and later be forced to abandon you. To her dying day she kept a doll that she played with with you and all of the clothes carried in a suitcase that you could no longer wear as an infant. I have since been re-united with that doll. It holds a special place in my heart that I will never forget. We have discovered Dollys grave and took a trip to wabigoon Ontario and placed your ashes back where they began, with your mom. Miss you every day
